Don’t you worry, Mum! It wasn’t my ultrasound!

It was these girls turn to find out if they were in lamb!

Ewes waiting on their Ultrasounds!

The aim of the ‘game’ was to put the ewes up the V Belt Race and flip them so they were in a ‘sitting’ position before using the ultrasound machine to scan the Ewe’s abdominal area and if the ewe is pregnant, the enlarged Caruncles (or ‘burger rings’!) located inside the uterine horns will be seen on the screen.

Lucky for the college there was only a small amount of empty ewes, they will be retested in a few weeks and still not showing ‘burger rings’ will be culled from the flock (sold on through sale yards).

Looking for those burger rings!

And no, we couldn’t get through the preg testing without making sure that none of us were ‘knocked up’! Lucky for us, we were all empty! Even the boys were empty! Fancy that!

Ready for preg testing!
